Brain drain from some European regions to others is a dangerous phenomenon, the consequences of which may not been seen in the short-term, but in the long-term can lead to economic stagnation, decline in productivity and the living standards in the sending country. It is crucial for European and national authorities to find a way of reversing brain drain in order to restore the imbalance of highly-educated workers ratios between Member States and stimulate economic growth throughout the EU.
